Don't forget!
If you are looking for a book that your library doesn't have, don't forget that you have options. Ask your branch librarian if she can request it for you from another branch. The Regional Library does a trip between all six of the libraries and takes materials to each branch. If we don't have it in the system, call us at 601-776-3881. Sue and Rosa can help you with an ILL request. It will take a little time, but we can get just about anything!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
If you are wondering how to keep your kids occupied during the upcoming holiday vacation, come by the library to look for entertainment options. We have lots of movies, music, and books to choose from. We also have lots of holiday classics like Rudolph, Frosty, and The Santa Clause. Many of our branches have set up displays to share their favorite titles. Let us know if you are looking for something specific...we'll try to help you get it! Check out the Bay Springs branch for over 150 new kids titles!

What would you like to see?
I'm working on lists of books to order for the library. Budgets are tight this year, and we need to make the most of our dollars. What would you like to see on your library shelves? Do you have a favorite author that we're missing? Let us know!
We're changing the format of the blog at EMRL. Instead of posting new arrivals, we'll be letting you know about what is going on at your local libraries. If you have any feedback about what's going on at the library please post a comment. We're also always looking for ideas about what to put on the shelves.
We have received a grant from the Mississippi Library Commission and LSTA to purchase juvenile fiction for the Stonewall and Bay Springs libraries. Lots of Junie B. Jones, Magic Treehouse, and more. If you can't get to either of these libraries, make a request, and your books will be delivered to your local branch. Come check it out!
